Giving people tasks that they “want to do” makes a huge difference in their performance, but a few things need to be in place first.
Building a great team starts with trust as the foundation building block. Once you get your team to a point where they can manage their own conflict and make their own decisions, you will begin to see them take on more accountability and you will see measurable results. Finally, wrap around this structure a commitment to use each resource in a way that gets them excited about what they are doing - NOW you have an engaged and effective organization.
